Trusting God’s Timing

In our fast-paced world, waiting can feel burdensome. We often desire immediate results and instant gratification, which can lead to frustration when things don’t go as we expect. However, Scripture reminds us that God's timing is perfect.

Reflect on the various seasons described in Ecclesiastes. Each one serves a purpose and carries its own beauty. The transition from winter to spring is a reminder of the promise of renewal. Just as nature requires specific seasons to flourish, so do we need to embrace the phases of our lives, trusting that God has a plan.

Consider the story of Joseph in the Bible. Sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph faced years of hardship before he realized God’s plan for him—to save many lives during a famine. Throughout his trials, he maintained his faith, knowing that God was weaving a greater story.

God speaks directly to our hearts, urging us not to succumb to fear. His promise is profound: He is not just a distant observer but an active participant in our journey. When He declares, “I am with you,” He invites us to experience His closeness in every moment—whether in trials or triumphs.

You Can’t Love God & Hate His Creation

As followers of Christ, we are called to embody the teachings and love of Jesus in all aspects of our lives. This includes how we treat others, irrespective of their race, gender, or background. Racism, sexism, and judgmental attitudes are antithetical to the message of love and acceptance that Jesus preached. By reflecting on these principles, we can foster a welcoming environment that truly represents the heart of the church.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus summarizes the law and the prophets with two commandments: love God and love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39).
