Christ Did Enough | Devotional By Chad Nathan

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to bring the world’s performance mindset into your relationship with God?

We know we’re saved by grace but we live as if God is grading us.

But Jesus didn’t say “Come to me once you’ve earned it.”

He said “Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28

That invitation isn’t just a one day thing, it’s for every single day.

Some of us are exhausted not because we are working hard for God but because we’re trying to earn something He has already given us.

We chase accomplishments hoping they’ll make us feel secure, and recognition hoping it will make us feel seen. Even ministry can sometimes become a way we try to prove our worth to God if we’re not careful.

But the problem with every earthly achievement is that it can only satisfy for a moment. The excitement always fades and the goalposts always move and we are left searching for the next thing.

God did not design your soul to find its identity in temporary things.

The gospel tells us that before we ever accomplished anything for God, Christ loved us enough to accomplish everything necessary for our salvation.

We don’t serve to become His child, we serve because we are already His child.

Maybe today is the day you finally stop measuring your value by your productivity and stop believing God only smiles when you’re performing well.

What Christ did on the cross is enough.
