The People God Let’s Us Grow With Along The Way | Devotional By Chad Nathan

As I came across some of these old childhood photos, I saw people who probably had no idea how much they were shaping me in the ordinary every day moments of life.

That’s one of the many beautiful things about God is that He often chooses to place people in our lives as living expressions of His wisdom, kindness, correction, encouragement, and grace.

Some people teach us through their words, and others just through their faithful presence. Some sharpen us with difficult conversations or teachings, and others just show up so consistently that we begin to understand the Father’s heart more clearly.

Every season of life has people that God intentionally entrusts to us, and they each carry something we need even when we don’t recognize it at the time.

Scripture even reminds us in Proverbs 27:17 that “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

When we understand how deeply loved we are by God, serving others becomes an overflow instead of an obligation and we start to recognize the people around us as gifts rather than interruptions. We become grateful for the people God has strategically woven into our story.

The people God places in our life along the way are reminders that we are never truly alone, and that His grace is with us every day.
